Christmas is the time when we visit our old parents, and other relatives, who long, long ago got tired of our attempts to impress on them by showing one million card tricks. The following is an effect which will appeal to them, since it is different to all the rubbish you showed them before!
You start by showing the backs of four playing cards, but as you show the faces everyone realises that these cards are special; no spades, no queens, but four Santa Claus (or maybe it is Santa Clauses?) . You tell a story about the Santa Clauses having a party of their own on the night before Christmas, and put the cards into a folded, borrowed paper napkin. When they come out again you show them face and back, but they are only three, the forth Santa Claus is missing. The spectators see a card protruding from the napkin. But that is another card, when you show it they see that is a Christmas Card from you (greeting in English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, French, Italian, Finnish, German and Spanish), and when you turn it over there is a wish for a Happy New Year (greeting in English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, French, Italian, Finnish, German and Spanish)!
Everything can be examined at the end of the trick!
The cards are printed on Anglo Poker Edition09 cards with red on white back design and if you can find an alternative use of the Santa Clauses or double faced Christmas Card/New Years Card, please do so!
