Magic in their hands and under their noses
On this page we have made a selection of effects and routines suitable to be performed under close up conditions.

A Magic Convention in Jaromer Czech Republic, a few magicians in a pub, no deck of cards present ..... that is the background of Jahn Gallo's clever and extensive routine. It is a 3 Card Monte, but beer mats are used instead of cards. One of the beer mats is marked with a bold X on its back and then the routine starts. As always, the spectators have no fair chance to guess which one is the marked beer mat. To make it easier for them the beer mats are marked on the face side too, but the more they know the less knowledge they have... Since the routine is done impromptu, with ordinary, unprepared beer mats from the pub, the routine has credibility. The beer mats are also very easy to manipulate! Everything can be examined! You will receive Jahn Gallo's extensive and clever routine, a thorough description of the moves and many valuable tips on a CDrom. It is built like a webbpage and contains text and film clips. You open the file in the browser of your computer. In addition you get 3 special beer mats for practice (otherwise you would ruin 3 beer mats every time you practice). You mark the special surface of the beer mats with a whiteboard marker and erase them, when it is time for the next round of practice. For actual performance you would use genuine beer mats from the pub.

Yoga Coin

You receive a large (70mm or 3 inches diameter) oriental brass coin, with center hole and decorated with mantra symbols, a very beautiful small cloth bag and a ribbon. Plus a 16 page illustrated booklet in English, describing the six different effects you can do. Many moves are described for the first time. This is not a trick, but a complete routine featuring magic, yoga and eastern philosophy. The effects are of the "ring on and off rope"-type. A very price-worthy item.

Utility Pen Gimmick
Use this clever gimmick instead of a thumb tip. Vanish or produce a silk or a large load of salt etc. E.G. You poke a silk into your closed fist with the pen. Use the pen as a magic wand and when you open your hand the silk is gone and you can place the pen on the table. YES it can be examined! Comes complete with gimmick, ballpoint pen and instructions in English. Excellent method to vanish a silk in front of thumb tip owners!

Stop Smoking!

You show a Stop Smoking Tube and insert a cigarette into the tube and put the lid on. When the spectator opens the tube and pour out the content, the full size cigarette has vanished or changed into a tiny micro cigarette. If you cannot quit, you could at least cut down .... Very well made metal tube, micro cigarette and clever gimmick. Easy to perform.

Jardine Ellis Ring
The Jardine Ellis Ring is a classic prop, where a large curtain ring penetrates through a ribbon, pencil, and performs others diverse antics. This model is made from plated brass, and comes with a photo illustrated booklet of routines you can perform with this. Great close-up magic, to carry in your pocket, and use any time.

Self Folding Bill
An incredible animation effect, invented by Stefan Schützer from Sweden. Performer removes a dollar bill from his pocket or wallet, and places it flat on his outstretched palm. Visibly the bill folds in half, then in half again, and again. Spooky visual effect, very easy to perform. Set up in an instant. Supplied complete with stage money and ready to use with instructions. Build your own gimmick from a real banknote of your own country.

Ring Off Spoon
This is a penetration effect, where a metal ring comes off the stem of a metal teaspoon. The magician displays a small metal ring, and slips it over the stem of a teaspoon after both the items have been examined. (We supply the teaspoon with the apparatus, but you could even use a borrowed teaspoon to perform this, making it seem completely impromptu in nature). The ring fits easily over the stem, but cannot go over the bowl of the spoon. The performer covers the ring on the spoon with a handkerchief, asking a spectator to firmly hold the stem of the spoon through the handkerchief. He gives the spectator's hand a tap, and the ring drops off the spoon. An amazing and uncanny penetration. The working of the effect is extremely simple, and the presentation quite logical and straight forward. There are no sleights, exchanges, duplicates, or false moves involved. We supply you the ring, spoon and the pocket handkerchief, along with full working details and illustrated instructions. Give the handling a trial or two, and you can put this in your act.

Jet Cigarette

You place the gimmick inside an ordinary pack of cigarettes and just by squeezing the pack you make the cigarette jump out of the pack and one meter up in the air! It looks cool if you catch it in mid air!

New Phantom Cigarette You pretend (mime) rolling an imaginary cigarette. You place the imaginary cigarette in between your lips and search your pockets for matches. You then pull a lit match from under your lapel (gimmick supplied) and light the imaginary cigarette. Puffs of smoke come out of your mouth and when you withdraw your hands a real burning cigarette is seen between your lips. This is the strongest lit cigarette production I have ever seen. It is very easy to perform, no plaming is necessary and the outfit is complete with Lit Match producer and gimmick to produce the cigarette. From the end of this effect it is possible to go on into cigarette manipulations. The cigarette is perfectly normal and hazardous to your health!

Cig Secret You take a burning cigarette, push it up your nose and pull it out of your ear! Push the burning cigarette into your fist and when you open your hand the cigarette is gone!

Pencil Thru Borrowed Banknote The effect is simple: A pencil penetrates a borrowed bank note. The instructions details a couple of different ways to perform the effect. Comes complete with yellow hexagon pencil and gimmick.

Pen thru Anything

You push your pen straight thru a borrowed bank note. You can show the bank note freely from all angles. You then pull the pen right out again and return the unharmed banknote to its owner. Many other penetrations are possible! You receive a gimmicked pen and a normal duplicate pen to switch.

Gypsy Thread You pull out one meter of thread from the spool and tear it in many short pieces. You roll the pieces into a ball, which you attach to the last short piece. Just by blowing on it, the thread is restored, you pull out the full length and give the thread to a spectator. One of the finest torn & restored effects in magic. Can be done close up or from stage! Comes with the necessary thread.

Haunted Hanky

An ordinary Pocket Handkerchief is freely displayed. It is folded and placed on the table and magically becomes animated, as if a ghost was trapped under it. The handkerchief jumps up and down, in an uncanny manner. Then the ghost vanishes, and the handkerchief is opened to show there is nothing in it - its just an ordinary handkerchief.Wrap a small slate and piece of chalk under the hanky, and the "spirits" write a message on the slate. Special Handkerchief, and illustrated instructions supplied.

You tuck one or several silks into your fist, the next moment they are gone! You can also vanish rope, sponge balls, paper napkins etc. The same silk you just vansihed, can be produced from the trouser pocket a second later ... to be vanished again. The outfit consists of an elastic pull, which means that you do not have to do any movements to cause the vanish. The container is large, you can easily put one 60 cm or three 45 cm silks or 1,5 meter rope or 5 ordinary 50 mm sponge balls into it! The props are black to be invisible aginst your clothing (providing you are dressed in black...). You can easily repeat the routine, for instance if you are Table Hopping. In the instructions you learn how to adjust your Big Load vanisher and the following routines are detailed:

Bottle Up With this bottle holder and simple but genial gimmick, you can produce (from your body) an opened bottle of Coke, beer, mineral water etc. The bottle (use your own) is totally clean and can be given away to an assisting spectator. It is a strong effect on its own, but can also be combined with several other routines. Comes with holder, gimmick and the following routines:

Fire Wallet You open your wallet and large flames burst out of it! You close your wallet and when you reopen it there is no trace of the fire. We have two different wallets, they are both made from genuine leather and use lighter fuel. The purse/wallet has the advantage to lock the fumes inside, allowing you to load it long before you use it. The wallet type looks like a regular hip pocket wallet.

Invisible Thread Reel - ITR - (economy)

This is an inexpensive version of the ITR. You attach the gimmick under your jacket and are then able to pull out the required length of invisible thread. When you let go of the thread it is automatically wound back into the gimmick and ready to use again. You can perform fantastic floating effects with an ITR: Fred Kap's Floating Cork, Floating Banknote, Floating Ball, Floating Cigarette, Floating Origami etc etc. The instructions details many different effects and gives good advice on maintanance. Two sizes available, mini and normal.

With a little help of this small but smart gimmick you can perform many miracles! Twisting Arm Illusion

Shinkoh's Twisting Arm Illusion has been performed on TV by, among others, a Harry Anderson, David Copperfield och David Blaine. Meir Yedid had the effect in his prize winning act at the SAM Convention 1988. This booklet teaches you this fantastic Do-As-I-Do-Routine. You need no props, only the knowledge and some practise.... You and the spectator both place your palms against the table, you turn your hand a full turn, but the spectator only makes it half way!

Mystic Spinner

A strange boat shaped gadget. You spin it on the table and it continues to spin "for ever". You spin it again but when you approach it with your hand it stops and starts spinning in the reverse direction. ... or when you point at it ... or when you say the word STOP! Chuck Leach's classic: A brass ring magically sticks to another brass ring and you can spin it! When the spectators try they cannot copy it! The rings can be eaxmined anytime!

Levitator (Svävaren)

E genial gimmick, which enables you to float objects between your hands! Can even be performed impromptu with borrowed objects! E.G. a bottle, a glass, a cup, a ball. Any fairly light weigt object with a smooth surface can be levitated.

Silk to Panty

You vanish a silk in your fist, but when you are about to repeat the trick something goes wrong, the silk wont go! You unfold the silk which is now transformed into a pair of panties (knickers to the brits)! This trick has comedy potential! Great as a Do as I do-effect and can be used as a perfect cover up for stealing the spectators watch. Comes with silk, panty and thumbtip.

Flying Ring

This is the reel version of this famaous trick, invented by Al Koran. You borrow a finger ring and hold it in your fist. A spectator may hold your wrist ensuring that nothing goes up your sleeve. You give your key case as a token, in case something goes wrong (the key to your Mercedes is in the key case). You open your hand and the ring is gone. The ring is found hanging from a key clip in the key case among your keys. The key case is made from genuine leather and the reel is not an ordinary reel, but a special extra strong reel with an extra strong thread. Large key clips, the same for the keys as for the ring. Good value!
