Invented?

The best part of this trick, the linking of three loops of coloured rope, was invented and lectured by John Palfreyman. It may be your best trick but you didn't invent it in 1984 or any other year. I hope John Palfreyman has benefited from the sales of many hundreds!
Answer from the shop:
I never claimed that I invented the knot used for the rope linking. This is how I describe the history of the trick in the instructions:

"HISTORY
When I first invented this effect in 1984 I had been shown the special knot involved in the linking by an East German magician (sorrry but I have forgotten his name) and at another occasion by Italy’s Aldo Colombini (who was known as Fabian at that time). Many years later John Palfreyman of Great Britain showed me the knot and claimed that he was the one who introduced the knot into magic in the 1950-ies. He told me, he learnt to do the knot as a Boy Scout, the knot being used to tie up boats, the slip knot allowing the boat to go out with the tide. This is how I learnt the Linking Rope Knot and I made a routine that started with my own version of Professors Nightmare, using 3 differently coloured un-gimmicked ropes."

I have discussed credits with both John Palfreyman and Aldo Colombini and they both are happy with the above description and have no objections to me marketing this effect with the above credits.

question

I think this looks very good and am thinking of buying it do you use the classic move in your routine or is it completely different?
Answer from the shop:
This routine uses a couple of new and classic moves, usually not associated with Professors Nightmare and Linking Ropes.
